Of Cake and Cursors by ~Nywoe
I met Annie at a Ladies Night event at Things from Another World a year or so ago.
She sent me this strip she did this morning and I love it.

This is awesome, and so true.

  2. Uhhhh….

I’m really thinking about asking to join S.T.A.G. But. Chatting. With actual people. *whimpers*

I can’t believe someone can be so shy and such a chatterbox like me. Seriously. That’s some real wrong wiring, up in my noggin.

Le génie du mal [The genius of evil, aka; Lucifer]; Guillaume Geefs

“The statue was originally a commission for Geefs’ younger brother Joseph, who completed it in 1842 and installed it the following year. It generated controversy at once and was criticized for not representing a Christian ideal. The cathedral administration declared that “this devil is too sublime.” The local press intimated that the work was distracting the “pretty penitent girls” who should have been listening to the sermons.” [x]

[The original ‘sublime’ version shown below, and the ‘revised’ one in the photoset above]

    > No this sculpture is too hot for church

    > Make another one

    > It’s even hotter

  4. (I think there isn’t much chance of getting an answer to this but here we go)

    I have a question for illustrators/visual artists/general crafty people:

How do you organize your ideas?

As in, when you get an idea for a picture/artwork/thing, what do you do with it? Do you have a folder? A sketchbook? Do you just start working and finish it in one go?

    Inquiring minds need to know?

How to paint gold tutorial by *ConceptCookie
And I found this very helpful just by looking at it. I was never good at coloring gold.

Gold is tough. This is awesome.

Gold is super hard and this is a great tutorial so adding my own tip to this. A trick to painting gold is throwing in some desaturated yellows to where they look almost greenish. Just eyedrop this pic, you’ll see what I mean.
